Top 5 Vintage Clothing Stores

Lower Forms  

1  Lower Forms at 16 Fountain St. offers a large selection of shirts, hats, pants, hoodies and accessories. Being the closest location to campus, Lower Forms is open 12–7 p.m., Mondays–Thursdays, and 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Fridays and weekends. 

Strange Ways  

2  Strange Ways, located at 151 Orange Street, provides a wide variety of clothing, fashion accessories, art and other vintage oddities. Strange Ways is more than just a clothing store; offering the service of applying vintage patches to denim jackets. Strange Ways is open Mondays–Saturdays, 11 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m.–5 p.m. 

Salvation Army  

3  Although the Salvation Army offers newer donated pieces, if you get to the store when it opens at 10 a.m., you have a better chance of finding vintage goods. A large selection of women’s and men’s apparel is available, as well as sneakers and children’s clothing and toys. The Salvation Army is located at 1316 Dixwell Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed on Sundays. 

Flight Vintage  

4  Flight Vintage, located at 1427 Dixwell Ave., is one of the smallest stores, but offers a wide variety of clothing and deals. Vintage pants, shirts and hats can all be found in-store and online. Every week it hosts a $5 bin sale, a $10 rack sale and discounts for college students. Flight Vintage is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12–5 p.m.  

MINIPNG  

5  MINIPNG caters more toward women’s fashion. It has vintage dresses, shoes and jewelry for both men and women. Located at 85 Willow St., you can find clothing for any occasion. MINIPNG is open from 12–6 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.
