New Student and Sophomore Programs
The office of New Student and Sophomore Programs is located on the third floor of Buley Library. Services are offered to help first-year, second-year and transfer students with out-of-class experience and academic achievements. The goal of the program is for students to connect with one another and provide a smooth transition into the university. Adjusting to college life may be hard, but with the help of New Student and Sophomore Programs students will become more involved, meet others and achieve academic goals.
Academic Success Center
The ASC offers many services to students, including study tips, time management skills and activities to help reduce stress. The ASC is located on the third floor of Buley Library. There are tutors that can help prepare for exams or review material with students. To make an appointment, students must go through SSC Navigate or call (203) 392-8967 to reach the ASC.
IT Academic Technology
The Information Technology Department is located in Buley Library. IT provides students help with academic technology, MySCSU account information, printing on campus, lab information and Microsoft OneDrive and Teams.
Library service, Hilton C. Buley Library
Buley staff provides students with print and electronic books. This helps them enhance research and provides more tools for study. There is also an online catalog that is provided to students. This online catalog is shared with 17 Connecticut state colleges and universities. Presentations are offered to students on how to use search strategies and how to find and choose appropriate research.
Counseling Services
Counseling Services are located in Engleman Hall B219. Counseling Services help students with challenges and difficulties. They also help them reach goals and success.
